Bookcases

In my recent Ikea splurge of ’09, I bought 2 Billy bookcases. These books are listed on my LibraryThing account. I have them organized as follows (some fuzzy boundaries exist):

Bookcase 1

  1. Tongue-in-cheek humor
  2. Atheism
  3. Skepticism, rationalism, philosophy, metaphysics
  4. Physics & cosmology
  5. Bookmarks
  6. One Thousand Blank White Cards
  7. Harry Harrison
  8. Science fiction – time travel
  9. Math
  10. Pi
  11. Darren Aronofsky-related
  12. Comics/graphic novels/visual arts
  13. History of comics/comics as art
  14. Comic strip collections (FoxTrot, The Far Side, Calvin & Hobbes)
  15. Bookcase 2

  16. Matt Groening
  17. Trivia
  18. Literature/fiction
  19. Metafiction
  20. Science fiction/fantasy
  21. Klingon language
  22. Constructed languages
  23. Linguistics
  24. Japanese language/culture
  25. Language learning
  26. High school/college memories
  27. Gaming
  28. Penn & Teller

Coming up next time: How my room is organized, now that I’ve cleaned it up and purchased Ikea furniture.

  1. You seem to have forgotten the concept of ‘libraries’. A lot of those 30 years of books are back in the public library.
