Idea of the Evening

I’m gradually moving into the new house. I should put up a picture/video tour, once everything gets set up ultra cool.

A few days ago I thought of, or heard portions of, the phrase “German Saloon Test”. It is interesting that 3 simple words could evoke such a deep or specific meaning:

To me, the ‘German Saloon Test’ would refer to some sort of hypothetical/gedanken experiment, consisting of a philosophical question, reminiscent of the Voight-Kampff test from Blade Runner. Essentially, something like: “You are in an old western saloon, but everyone is speaking German. What do you do?” An alternate question might be: “When/where are you actually located?”
