Have you ever thought of a novel idea, only to discover that someone else came up with it already?

I have; some ideas that I have thought up, (at least not consciously) independently of their 'original' creator:

• Method for faster-than-light communication
• Quantum immortality
• Time-slice photography (aka bullet time)

I just typed a 2-word phrase that I never would have thought would describe me. What accurate-but-surprising 2-word phrases describe you?
